In 2000, Trevor Nelson had an interview with Aaliyah. Aaliyah talked about how she loved to go out, travel, and work. She went to school, she had her parties, she had her sweet 16, and she had her proms. It’s good to know those things about Aaliyah. I think she was more outgoing than I, but she reminded me of myself.

Although I didn’t go to my prom and parties, I loved the school dance, talent shows, and hanging at the mall. I didn’t have a lot of friends when I did things. But I could draw a crowd. I mostly stayed at home to practice on music and sometimes with family and few friends.
